Meet the Team

Jackie

Often referred to as "The Dog Lady", Jackie has always felt a strong connection to, understanding of, and compassion for all animals. She graduated from UC Davis, worked in tech for five years, then started GSPC to pursue her passion for animals. Jackie previously worked at a large-scale doggy day-care facility and is very in-tune with reading dogs' energies/body language and responding accordingly. Jackie has fostered many dogs, rescued several more (and cats!), and is experienced in rehabilitating fearful and traumatized dogs. She grew up in a house full of pets and will treat yours with the same love and respect!

Lauren

Having grown up with dogs and cats, Lauren has had a soft spot for all animals her entire life. She recalls the first profession she wanted to be when she “grew up” was a veterinarian. Lauren’s family has homed many rescue dogs, cats, bunnies and hamsters over the course of her life. She has 3 rescues (1 dog & 2 cats) of her own. Lauren works in fitness and tech. She has experience with dog and cat sitting, and is always delighted to have another furry companion at home - she makes sure your fur baby is treated with lots of love and care! 

Lauren and Jackie met in 2016 at a CrossFit gym in Burlingame where Lauren used to coach and Jackie was a member. They quickly bonded over their love of animals. After seeing how Lauren had that special connection to, understanding of, patience with, and gentle love for animals - she became one of the only people Jackie trusted to watch her own dogs. Thankfully she is happy to care for other fur babies too, and has been a valued member of Golden State Pet Care for years.
